Saint Elizabeth was a Saint that used her gifts and talents to help others through struggles that they had. She was born on August 28 1774 and married the wealthy William Seton. Her life was quite, simple and sometimes lonely. William soon became affected with tuberculosis and died later on. After her husband died Elizabeth became interested in the Catholic religion and became part of the Catholic church in 1805. Elizabeth became a saint because she founded the sisters of charity of St. Joseph's. Saint Elizabeth was a really kind person and she deserved to become a Saint.

Saint Elizabeth was a wonderful and inspirational person. She was the founder of the first Catholic school in the United States. I don’t think that just anyone would open up a school to help kids learn. If you were interested in the catholic religion and you wanted to do something to help the children of the catholic you probably would not open up a school. Maybe some people would but that would be a lot of work and dedication. Saint Elizabeth took those responsibilities and opened up a catholic school. She was a very young women and she put the responsibilities that opening up a school would take and she put them into her own hands to deal with.

Years into her teaching at her school, Saint Elizabeth became very sick. She became affected with tuberculosis. Even with her sickness she still managed to push through the problems and struggles that she had and continue to teach and guide the children of the school and her very own children. This is a really inspirational trait that Saint Elizabeth had because when some teachers are sick they would take that time of of working that they need to get better, but not Elizabeth. She struggled through her sickness and guided and taught the children of the school. Eventually Saint Elizabeth did die of her tuberculosis, but she was missed by her friends and family. After she died she gave inspiration to other people in the world to follow in her footsteps.

Altogether Saint Elizabeth is a really great and wonderful person to look up to . Everyone should follow in her footsteps to do amazing things to help people. I can connect with Saint Elizabeth because when I have responsibilities that need to be done, I don’t just throw them away and try to forget about them, I get them done and I am proud of myself. After opening the school in the United States, Saint Elizabeth joined the sisterhood and together they opened up 2 orphanages and 2 other schools. The sisterhood were a great group of people and just like Saint Elizabeth, people should follow in their footsteps also. Altogether, Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton is a really awesome and amazing person to think about and learn about. Thank you Saint Elizabeth!
